AW Artists at Midwest FireFest in Cambridge, WI!

Join AW artists Richard Berkholtz, Lily Giroux, and Stephon Ashely at FireFest June 14th and 15th!

We are returning for a 3rd year to FireFest, and we are so excited to be there for both days this year with our whole ceramics crew along with us! FireFest is an amazing festival just down the road in Cambridge celebrating all things FIRE! In addition to ArtWorking, there are so many fire-based artists selling work, doing demos, and performing! Think; blacksmiths, glass, jewelry, potters, even firedancers—if it uses fire it is there! Totally worth a trip, and we hope to see you there!

Richard will be demoing his firestarter machine on Saturday, and Stephon will be doing some dragon sculpting live and in person on Sunday! Lily will be around both days! We encourage you to come say hi!

Come see The Colors on My Mind by Blake Edison at Union South!!

“The Colors on My Mind” is a show of recent paintings by Blake Edison. Inspired by the rhythmic and lyrical qualities of soul music, Edison creates colorful gestural abstractions that hold complexity and radiate joy.  Seemingly both improvised and delicately considered, each work is embedded with delightful surprises–opaque smudges of muted pastel satisfyingly harmonize with fluorescent passages of acrylic paint, as a density of marks unexpectedly dances with wide open expanses of raw canvas.  Leaving each work untitled, Edison allows these visual poems to speak for themselves.

The exhibition The Colors on My Mind will be open in Union South's Gallery 1308  from April 12th to May 24th of 2024. Galleries are open from 8am -10pm, Monday through Sunday.

Come see works by Lainey Singer at the Overture Center

SOMETHING TO CHEW ON: with Lainey Singer and Tony Riel

Singer and Riel creatively depict everyday objects with distinct styles, using vibrant colors to highlight details. Riel focuses on food and everyday items, painting in oil on canvas. Singer employs multimedia techniques to create prints and illustrations notable for their whimsy and atonement to detail.

The show will be open to the public March 19th 2024 through June 9th 2024 during normal Overture business hours.
